Helps Us Reunite 21 Acres with Wildwood

Our rare Coastal Douglas-fir forests are disappearing.

We have an opportunity to purchase 21 acres that were once part of Wildwood Ecoforest for $856,000. With the addition of this parcel, Wildwood will become 104 acres, an increase of 25%, protected in perpetuity by the Wildwood Trust.

Forest Education Bursary

At Wildwood, we believe that all children have a fundamental right to access nature and to experience the joy of  learning in an intact forest ecosystem. Studies continually show that time outdoors is essential for children’s physical and mental health, personal growth, and academic success. We believe children should have opportunities to play, learn, and grow in nature, regardless of their family’s financial situation

The Call for a New Forest Framework in British Columbia

We're calling on you, caring individuals, academics, professionals, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to sign and send the attached letter to your elected officials to develop a new forest model and perspective.  Forests, particularly mature and old-growth systems, are living thriving beings, not simply feedstock or fibre to be clearcut and shipped overseas.  We need to change how we live in and with nature if we are to survive.  We need to do that now.
