After a long winter, signs of spring can provide a reason for celebration and hope. From the first spring flowers to the increase in bird song, getting out into nature in the springtime can be a joyful lift for the spirits.
It’s also science! Phenologists track things like when particular flowers blossom or buds appear on tree branches to monitor changes in climate over time.
We’re turning the study of signs of spring (phenology) into an interactive game for your family on our ‘Springo Adventure'! Register for your time slot and walk the trails at Wildwood Ecoforest searching for signs of spring while completing a bingo-style Springo sheet. Shout “Springo!” in celebration when you complete your hunt, and receive a button to remember your visit.
